Digital Educational Information

Did you ever have a health care experience where you left the doctor’s office saying, “Now what did the doctor say? or “What am I supposed to do?”
As humans, we only remember a certain percentage of what we hear. Overlapping sensory integration (auditory, visual, tactile) aids in memory retention. Therefore, we utilize a state-of-the-art all-digital patient education system.

Our doctors utilize this software to explain your eye condition, making your eye health care experience an invaluable and memorable one. Our opticians use this information to demonstrate the best optical lens features to maximize and protect your precious vision.

High Definition Retinal Photography

The Topcon TRC-NW8 provides amazing high definition images of the inside your eye. As part of a medical evaluation of your eye, your doctor will review the health of your optic nerve, retina, and blood vessels. Photodocumention is very important in the management of systemic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension, as well as ocular side effects of many common medications. Eye diseases like macular degeneration and glaucoma can be properly monitored to help maximize our most precious gift of sight.

Humphrey Matrix Visual Field Analyzer

The Humphrey Matrix offers the latest breakthrough in screening and threshold visual field testing that can detect the loss of peripheral vision. It is one of the most sensitive tests available to assess your optic nerve, as well as assessing other problems involving the eye and brain, such as glaucoma, strokes, and other brain disorders. In fact, visual field testing is absolutely necessary to diagnose and monitor glaucoma patients.

AO Non-contact Tonometer

The non-contact tonometer or ‘Puff of Air Test’ is an instant way to measure your intra-ocular pressure with a gentle puff of air off your cornea. It is quick and no numbing eye drops are required! We also have two other methods of measuring your eye pressure in the office to further assess your risk of glaucoma.

Retinomax Autorefractor

The autorefractor is a fast, easy, and versatile diagnostic device to evaluate your refractive error. The test takes seconds to perform and gives the doctors a starting point to begin the custom refinement of your eyeglass prescription. It is also a great tool to use on children who cannot sit still with conventional testing!

Digital Vision Screening

The Spot Vision Screener is a handheld vision screening device that helps quickly and easily detect vision issues on patients from 6 months of age through adult. Spot screens both eyes at once from a nonthreatening 3-foot distance.

Perfect for a post COVID 19 world and for our patients with neurological, special needs, Autism, Behavioral and those challenged with communication difficulties. We can help!

Hand-held Tonometer, Hand-held Slit Lamp

Our office provides portable hand-held instruments that are particularly beneficial for accommodating patients who are unable to cooperate for a conventional slit lamp exam. Wheel-chaired bound and pediatric patients can now experience a more thorough and complete exam.
